Position Summary

The Design Consultant – Design + Build serves as both lead designer and project owner for residential (and select commercial) projects. This role is ideal for a designer with 3–5+ years of experience who is ready to take ownership of projects and grow into a senior role within a design-build environment. You will guide clients from initial consultation through project completion while being rewarded for both design excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clients through design decisions, material selection, and layout planning

• Create designs using hand sketches and/or 3D design software

• Manage the full sales cycle from consultation through signed agreement

• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals

• Serve as the primary client contact through project completion

• Coordinate ordering, scheduling, and project readiness

• Proactively solve issues that arise during construction projects

• Build long-term client relationships and referral networks

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5+ years of full-service interior design experience required

• Residential remodeling or construction-based design experience strongly preferred

• Comfortable with client-facing sales and closing projects

• Strong organization, communication, and time management skills

• Interior Design degree preferred, but not required with equivalent experience
